Having got up at 6am. to get John off to hospital for his chemo., I was determined to have a crafty day. An article in a magazine gave me the inspiration to make this canvas. I wanted a castle theme, but not dark, so went for the blues, pinks and bronze. I moulded the parts using a pastry cutter, and patterned them with various stamps and moulding plates. Before putting them in the oven to harden, I used mica powders to colour. Sponged the canvas with gold acrylic paint, added beads and flakes. A bronze 'Metallics' pen round the edge finishes it off nicely - well, that's what I think! Tim Holtz grunge board key and hinges locked the whole thing up !
