Play Date Cafe challenge #130

So this has come just right for me , as I have made a fairy card for my weeny Grand Daughter [she ''likes pink'' and fairys']   Her Birthday is exactly one week after mine, albeit she is a tad younger, but not always in mind as I can be 6 at times lol
Back to the card......I used a very pale pink card and stamped a fairy [Lavinia Stamps] on a cut out piece of card and embossed round the edge with Cosmis blue embossing powder.
The fairys', castle and icicles are, also, Lavinia Stamps.  The fairys' on the card are 'Dovecraft' clear stamps.
The castle I coloured with Promarker pens and used a gel pen to highlight the towers, windows and door.

Octopode Factory Challenge - Spring

The Octopode Factory Friday Challenge Blog
So here is my entry for the challenge this week.  Digi stamps, of course, mounted on a chalked background.  The trees, are Judikins which, again, I have had for ages, but with pink dots to make them look as if they have blossom.
I found a little white feather in the garden, so added that too

But hey onwards and up wards so here is my entry for PDCC

sorry about the orange bit, but you can't have a balloon without fire !

I used Tims die of the umbrella man, and the stamps are 'Oxford Impressions' goodness knows where I got those from, probably from Ally Pally!

The colouring is done with a mixture of Inktense pencils and Distress inks.  Hope you can sort that out LOL

Octopode Factory Friday challenge

The Octopode Factory Friday Challenge Blog

It is Mushrooms thie week.
It was published as being last week, and I got a fright, thinking I had over slept for a week !!!

So, the Gnome came out of the digi stamp box.  Well, gnomes do live under mushrooms don't they?  I painted the background, then pressed bubble wrop into the gold and green.
I found bells, in the box of charms, I have collected over the years, from Alexander Palace stamp shows.

Friday Octopode Challenge

The Octopode Factory Friday Challenge Blog

I swiped the background with alcohol inks and baby wipes. 'Home is where the Heart is' from Lily Chilvers digi stamps, as are the two little birds
Well, it had to be a Valentines challenge

PDCC #118

First thing to do was alcohol ink the back ground by using the ink on baby wipes and swiping over the paper.

The stamps are from 'Stampscapes'  They make beautiful scenery.  Then, Lily Chilvers 'Octopode' digi stamps of five little ducks

Octopode Challenge 'Shades fo Grey'

The Octopode Factory Friday Challenge Blog

Different shades of grey this week, so, I used the Octopode Factory 'The Wolfman' being a bully to one of the Woodland Animals
.
''What are you afraid of ?' He asks and who wouldn't with that castle[ 'Lavinia Stamps'] and Tim Holtz dies of the tree, key and lock, loomimg above such a small animal.

I chalked the background, then used Promarkers to colour Wolfman.

Little badger came already coloured from Lily Chilvers digi stamps

So, that is my entry !

'Somewhere Over The Rainbow'

The Octopode Factory Friday Challenge BlogThis week it has to be very colourful. So, a rainbow [of course!] Chalked background, with Octopode flowers
I thought the castle, from their digi stamp range, held by the 'you need hands' digi stamp, would come in useful.  A touch of rain with diamond glaze.

Play Date Cafe Challenge #115

Colours this week are Slate, Moss, Bark and Burlap. Not quite sure what Burlap is, but hope I have matched it.

Another favourite stamp by 'Stamps Happen' called Umbrellas - well, well lol

I embossed with gold powder, and coloured in with pro markers Sangria which I blended as this one is an aqua marker. The other three colours are Tan, Olive Green [closest to Moss !] and Cool Grey.
A few drops of diamond glaze for rain drops.
The words are from the Inkadinkado collection 'You Make Me Smile All Over'.
Finally two peel offs [sorry but I have to use them up and had to cover a smudge !!] and gold edging

The Octopode Factory Challenge

The Octopode Factory Friday Challenge BlogThis week the challenge is 'Stars'  So here comes the Queen of stars
aka 'Queen of Hearts'

A glittery background only fit for a Queen and stars to surround her.

Shaky mushrooms as you would expect in the presence of such royalty

A bit of mo jo back

A day of gale force winds and heavy rain, so, what better way to spend the day, but craft.  I had lost the will to do anything crafty, but lying in bed first thing, with the wind and rain hammering on the windows, I came up with these ideas, although not new techniques.

So, out with tissue paper, bubble wrap, glimmer mists, moulds which I had made at sometime or other, beads and coloured flakes. Texture paste and things pressed into it before it dried.
All put together and here is what I made.
First one 'Dream'

Detail of the torso above

Not sure what I will do with them, but kept me out of trouble !!!

The Octopode Factory Friday Challenge Blog
So here are the Christmas cards I made from Octopode Factory digi images

This is an ATC which means an Artists Trading Card where people from all over swap these little cards. They measure 2 1/2ins by 3 1/2 ins and they cannot be bought.
